Gene Winfield's "Backyard"

A few weeks ago I told you guys about our visit to Gene's shop in the Mojave desert.

When we were walking around I asked Gene were he found his parts, and he said:  Most of it I can find in my backyard...

So...this is his backyard....let the pics do the talking..

Winfield Rod and Custom

Last week we visited Gene Winfield's shop in the Mojave desert.

Alltough his schedule is real tight the man took the time to show us around.

It's amazing how pasionate this man is about his work.....

Here some of the cars he currently works on..

1951 Chevrolet for a Japanese guy.

1950 Merc with buick headlights and a big Desoto teeth..

This will be a clone of the "Pacific" he built in the sixties

And of course a pic with me, Gene and my dad...

One of the last question I asked was where he got his energy from...he looked at me and the 83 years old man said...:

I'm just getting started..

Customs @ GNRS 2011

Within 2 weeks we're of to California! For us the highlight of 2011 happens here at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona. The Customs "THEN & NOW" will hold 75 of the most historical Custom cars that are still around today. Here some of the cars that will be displayed...

El Mirage

Visiting the landspeedrecord races in El Mirage was a dream come true...

Lot's of cool hotrods, bikes and racecars put the pedal to the metal!!
