'54 Mercury Taillights
I can't get Bob Nelsons '50 Chevrolet out of my mind since it featured in Kustoms Illustrated.
So when I had to decide what taillights I was going to use on my project I didn't have to think very long.
It had to be these beautifull 1954 Merc taillights. So they are on their way to our shop!!
These lights were also on Larry Watson's "Grapevine"

Larry Watson's "Grapevine"
Larry Watson created this Chevy sedan for himself as transportation as well as for rolling advertisement for his pinstripe and custom painting business. When larry bought the car he nosed and decked it and added some very wild pinstripes to the hood, trunk and dash.
This rolling work of art got his business really going. And soon he had money enough to redo his own Chevy into the first version you can see above. Later, Larry would create two more spectacular versions of his personal ride then named the Grapevine as shown below.
Third version with a wild paintjob..
Unfortunatly Larry died in July this year...
But his work will never be forgotten..
